Our Story
The original KC Boat Club was incorporated in 1885 and rowed on both sides of the state line. KCBC hosted a race with the St. Louis Rowing Club on the Kansas River in Bonner Springs in 1886, but its primary locations were in Missouri. KCBC first rowed at Washington Park and moved to Fairmount Park in the Sugar Creek area in 1893. KCBC was re-established in 2015.
These days, KCBC rows on the Kansas River and launches its boats from a dock located under the 7th St bridge in the Armourdale neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas, with plans to return to the Stockyards District in the West Bottoms in 2024.
